Privacy Policy

Everything you enter about your pets stays on your device. Pawly sends only anonymous usage events, which help us see which features work, and purchase receipts, which unlock Pawly Plus. Nothing is sold, and nothing is used to track you.

What Pawly stores

Pawly stores the information you enter about your pets: names, species, breed, birthday, photos, weight, microchip and insurance numbers, veterinarian contact details, vaccine records, reminders, care logs, documents you scan, and receipts. All of it is saved in a local database on your iPhone or iPad and is included in your regular device backups (iCloud or computer backups) according to your own iOS settings.

What Pawly sends

Two services receive limited data. Neither receives anything you typed, your pets' names or details, photos, documents, or your location.

• Plumb (our own analytics). Usage events such as "onboarding step viewed", "vaccine added", "scan completed" or "paywall shown", with counts and option choices (for example the species picked or how many reminders were set). Each event carries a random install ID created by the app, the app's anonymous purchase ID, the app version, iOS version, device model, language and the country from your region setting. Plumb is run by us; the data is not shared with or sold to anyone. It is used only to improve Pawly.
• RevenueCat (purchase processing). When you buy or restore Pawly Plus, the App Store receipt and an anonymous purchase ID go to RevenueCat, which confirms the purchase and tells us about renewals, cancellations and refunds. RevenueCat's handling is described in its privacy policy.

None of this data is linked to your identity, and none of it is used for tracking or advertising. Pawly shows no ads and does not ask for tracking permission.

What Pawly does not do

• No account or sign-up. There is nothing to register.
• No uploading of your pets' records, photos or documents.
• No advertising or third-party tracking.
• No selling of data to anyone.

Smart Scan and document reading

When you scan a vaccine certificate, receipt, or other document, the image is processed entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework and, on devices that support it, Apple's on-device language model. Images and recognized text are stored only in the app's local database. Nothing is sent to Pawly or to any third party.

Camera and photo library

Pawly asks for camera access only to scan documents, and for photo library access only when you choose a pet photo or a document image. Both permissions are optional and can be revoked in iOS Settings at any time.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled as local notifications on your device. They are not sent through any server.

Purchases

Pawly Plus is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and provides a receipt that confirms your entitlement; Pawly passes that receipt to RevenueCat as described above. Pawly never sees your name, payment details, or Apple Account information. Apple's handling of purchase data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.

Exports and sharing

When you export a backup, share a PDF, or share a document, the file leaves the app only through the iOS share sheet to the destination you choose. Pawly has no visibility into where you send it.

Children

Pawly is not directed at children under 13.

Data deletion

Deleting a pet removes all of its records. Settings > Your data > Delete everything wipes the local database. Deleting the app from your device removes all app data. To ask for usage events or purchase records to be deleted, email us at the address below.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
